A northeastern Pennsylvania teacher and soccer coach has been charged with having had sexual contact with a female student eight years ago. Thirty-six-year-old Robert Havard of Plains was arraigned Tuesday in Luzerne County on three counts of corruption of minors.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY EXHIBIT: The Luzerne County Historical Museum, 69 S. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, opened its newest exhibit, “The Roaring ’20s,” on Friday, March 4. The exhibit, which features numerous artifacts from the era including over 30 actual 1920s dresses, opened with a 1920s themed party. The exhibit will continue through its normal hours, from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday, until September.
